[postmarked August 26,1943] Thursday Dearest: Have a good time at Cleveland. I can't see why your folks object to to your going. It's a good opportunity for a rest or at least a relaxing change. It doesn't cost very much and even if it did, you want to go and that's reason enough. [Avent?] Al living with us. The extra money is worth some inconvenience, which I don't believe Al would be; rather he would be a help. I am very sure you'd get along as everyone likes Al and everyone likes you. I have not committed us us to any promise for I didn't know what you would want. On
