Sunday 15 August [1943] Dearest: You did find some nice suggestions in those House & Garden magazines. Pools are lovely; once we have one, you'll always want it. We can build one cheaper than those people did, though, and somewhat smaller. We can have a fountain and Al Green, our artist friend, will make a series of little figures for around it.
