on radio. A sun line mission is a flight whereon you base your position on a series of lines on your Mercator. These lines are derived from sextant shots of the sun. They tell you where you are and how fast you are going. if you know how to interpret them. Then knowing these two things you can alter course to destination and get an ETA.
