Feb 4, 1943 Dearest Bert. Received your letter, and it goes without saying that I was pleased. I have been over to see your Aunt, and am going over and get her, and cook supper some nite for her. Sherman Richards has quit school to work on the farm. He couldn't get help so it meant either one or the other so decided to give up his teaching. I miss him a lot, but I do rather enjoy being alone, I don't work as hard, or cook as much, so consequently it is better. Mary sends her love to you. Daily we talk about you, wishing you were back with us. We do miss you. I hope that your biceps wont be as large or as sore as the ones in the sketch, as I have pictured yours to be. Write and Ill do the same. Love. Al
