been 10 men killed in one way or another since I have been here. But one develops a fatalistic attitude "If its you turn, you get it; if it ain't, you don't. It doesn't matter much." That spirit make it okay. One would expect to find this school far from the thoughts and reactions of the battlefront, but it isn't. The empty cots and flag at half-mast frequently bring us close to it. It has been 2 days since I have had a letter from you. Those days have seemed long indeed. You have certainly done a wonderful lot of work with L.N. You're the best worker I've ever seen. You get things done. I'll just join you in that gloat....and also have a little gloat
