-3 regular fighting duty and sent overseas with two weeks after being commissioned. The commission, of course, won't be granted until September. I know they say that war changes men. But I don't feel changed any yet .... and doubt if I will be. A wider experience, a greater ability to handle divergent situations perhaps. I have lived long enough for that which is me to have solidified and defy any fundamental changes. You and I are so much alike that we will neither of us, change greatly in marriage nor will we need to. Rather will we blend and intertwine together, each supporting and enhancing the other. You have changed me .... not fundamentally for I was seeking when I first found you. I built you ... a place and need for you ... into my very being long before I knew
