-3 on actual duty - flying real missions - not just learning ... although the experience gained is the only way to become a "hot" navigator. Not all the men who came with me are so doing. Only 5 of us have been on our own as regular navigators since the 2nd week. Three or Four others went on at the end of the 4th week and others will as they are able. We continue to study in between times to learn still more. For instance, all my Navigation is daytime I am learning night-time or celestial navigation now between flights. I'll get check flights; if I can do it, I'll go on active night-flight duty too, then. Close now, as this can be mailed now. Write some more tonight and mail in a.m. Love, B.J.
