Saving...
Army Air Forces Navigation School San Marcos Texas 20 May 1943 Good morning Darling, I am "sweating out the flight line". That's an expression we use when we are waiting in uncertainty. It is 5:15 in the morning. The sky is just flooding with tawny light which climbs up toward the zenith displacing the soft pearl grey of early morning twilight. There are banks of dark clouds to the south and west; we wait meteorology reports to see what the weather down that way might be. I've been thinking about what you said that maybe I was too sure of you, implying that perhaps it would be better if I were not so sure. It's not that I am "too sure" of you
