Saving...
man is only supposed to fly twice a week. the responsibility for this plane, the crew and the cargo or the mission is heavy and I really feel the weight of it. I've been on sub control, bombing (on the bombing range), and delivery of special orders and goods, jobs ... once on aerial mapping. Yes, we keep up with world news. Folllow it eagerly in fact. At breakfast we listen to newscasts and usually read Time magazine. We discuss the situation - after all these navigators are supposed to be the finest minds in the Army - and most of us have broad, though varying backgrounds. The general opinion is, if things go right, it'll be over sometime after Christmas of this year ... may be a few months more or less.
