San Marcos, Texas Thursday 7/22/43 Dearest: When I wrote "Thursday" I realized with surprise that another week is past. Time keeps moving along. The news is good from Europe. Things are looking up... we'll see the end in the spring, I certainly hope. I am now on Interception Duty... that is we intercept and check ships in the gulf. That means rolling out at 4 a.m. and long hours. I've been doing more house-planning again. I'll
