Columbus, took a room at the Hotel. Helm, Vondy & Bonnell arrived about 7:00. Benton Wetzel & Sheldon Wesson are both still here. And that's all except Clyde, M. White, Mr. Batchelder, Burton Crane & the 5 Springfielders. Raymond Jeffreys looks just like his picture except he's quite short. He had left the enclosed note at the desk for me. Only thing: he says we should not have put Bricker on the program as he hasn't answered yet. I don't know whether to hand 'em out or not. Guess I will, just to members, sub rosa. When Babcook came in (about 10) he really created a furor, and Sheldon & Benton practically fell on his neck. They didn't salute as I guess they should have if they'd met him on the street. Wes said "Take off the gold hardware and come out and bunk with us."
