Chariton Iowa Sept 6th 1872 Dear Folks at home I wrote you as we left Valparaiso and have had no reply We reached Chariton 2 oclock Wednesday morning and put up at the hotel until [Orie?] came in next day We found all well Fletcher came Saturday from Des Moines We were at Uncle Charley's Wednesday This is court week and Orie is busy They complain of your long silence Why don't you write? We received paper from you this week Little Lee is just the brightest little baby
