[illegible] Iowa Jan 3rd 1873 Dear Folks at home Since I have not written you since sometime last year I will sprinkle some ink today We are in usual health The weather has been very cold [illegible] 27 Rather rough for circuit riding It is moderate snow [illegible] heavy snow has fallen We opened our barrel yesterday and we thank you verry (sic) much for the nice things within But I am sorry you sent me so nice a suit it is about as nice (In top margin) [illegible] [Thank?] you specially for the skirt and I thank you for all. Our love to all Lizzie
