DesMoines Iowa May 2nd 67 Dear Sister Emma You have either neglected me or I you I don't know which. Have had other matters on my mind so much that I have forgotten which wrote last. Although this is the second day of May it is very cool, have to keep up fires all day. I do wish warm weather would come. Suppose Minnie arrived with Charley on yesterday. Was you supprized to see her? As you know I am now alone in business and have to stay in store all the time from Monday morning to Saturday
