Des Moines Iowa Aug 29th 67 Dear father, Enclosed you will find draft for $100.00. Please lift and destroy a note of that amount in hands of Hogate due Sept 1st without interest. Well Pa I am still plodding along in same old footpath. Think I am paying expenses but dont know certain. One thing I have determined upon that is to sell out the first opportunity and resume business in a smaller place
