Chariton Iowa, July 19th 1868 Dear Frank, Your letter of June 27th was duly received and glad to hear from you. Glad to hear of the compliment paid you by the Society of Alumni. Mary says she is surprised that you should undertake another poem after your vows last summer, but says to tell you that she will copy it for you if you will come out. I think it well enough for you to commence work at once, and glad that you are entending to do so. Mack Maynick
