in a few days. We have hesitated to urge Laura to come with you for the reason we did not have the accommodations to give her, as we did at Des Moines. Besides we live in the country and have formed no pleasant friends to visit or visit us. Yet if she could be contented to be with us we should be glad to have her come & should welcome her. All this supposing there is no prospect of her marrying - should she do anything of that kind she must bring her "beau-ideal" out here and I will give him a week's work to see what he is made of - The children are suffering considerably with the Houping cough, especially Ethie - poor little thing! - it seems to hurt her so. It does not effect Charley to much yet and I hope it will not. Minn is with us and she has the same cough. She sends her
