Chariton, Iowa, Dec 31st 1893 Dear Laura Your letter in regard to Dutch was received yesterday morning, and since we have no further word from you we hope that he is better. We shall expect to hear from you again if he is better. The old year is about going out and we shall soon have 1894 - Lee and Fred are home for a vacation from Minneapolis, they will go back in about a week - All the children and grandchildren are well. Teusday our court commences and I will have to go to work - With love to all Your brother OA Bartholomew
