well and a good union man the rest of the friends you inquire about are all well and all liveing near hear excepting Rebecca Rowland she is at Bloomington spending the Winter with her brothers. My Sister lives at Greenville twelve miles below New Albany I expect to go and spend two or three weekes with her soon Mary Herrod lives with me still she has nearly all the care of my family as my health is always poor I am subject to Asthma if you know any thing of that disease you can form some Idea of how I suffer I am better of it this winter than I have bin for years you inquire if any of our relations have gon in the Army verry few Rebecca Rowlands eldest son has bin but has got a discharge on account of sore eyes he was in the Battle of Pea Ridge
