it never had (2000) inhabitants there are only two or three families here now there are a good many Sutler Shops, and that is about all the rest of the houses are used by Commissarie Department the weather here is warm in the sun but there is always a breese sturring so we stand it very well we have plenty of shade and do our drilling in the morning betweene 5 and 6 oc and in the afternoon betweene 6 & 7 oc and have the rest of the day to keep cool, the boys in our regiment are well, I stand it better than I expected, I am well and feel as much better than I did while in suspence, as you can immagine, soldiering is easyer now to me than it formerly was
