Office A. A. Inspector General Headquarters 1st Brigade, 2d Division, 16th Army Corps. Lagrange, Tenn., Sept 27th 1863 Dear Father yours of the 14th I recd on the 20th I have not recd ainy since I wrote on the 8th and about the 12th and 20th I want you to have cane make me a pare of pants and Coat the same size as he made for me in Aug. or Sept. 1862 of good fine stuff the pants of dark blue with strapps, staff buttons on the coat. and the Sholder Strapps on coat of the best bullion, small regulation size. the bullion not to heavy the cloth of strapp of dark blue that willnot fade, also a pair of fine calf boots from Marwitz double sole steel nails in heal and a fiew in sole and also a small pair of spurrs. I think Spurrs with strapps are the best. I think you could send them down by Robt Farr of Co. "B" who is comeing down about the 10th. you had better send them by some responsible person that is comeing to the regiment instead of by express for we may not be here. (say nothing about it though) I am well
