I have had to go to the Privy every time I wanted to pass my water for the last nineteen months. I have always tried to do my duty to the best of my ability. I never like to grumble, but now as my Regt. has gone Home, and just because I was wounded and transfered to this corps, I suppose I will be kept until my time is out. I think we are shown great injustice. Govenor I hope you will excuse the length of this letter, But it is from one who loves the Pararies of Iowa for his Home.
