The history of Pompeii is so closely related to that of Mt Vesuvious It almost seems impossible that they apart should be bound up so closely yet be so far and that Mt Vesuvious actually did bury the city several times - and propably in the years to come the angry mountain will pour out another flood of hot lava and return Pompeii to oblivion, Isn't this the destiny which naturally may follow a city with the career of Pompeii.
