painting were Wovermans and two of them [Walcanbergs?]. Wovermans were a "Harvesting Scene" and the other "Falcon Hunting." They read in a german paper lately that his "Harvesting Scene" sold for 15000 francs. They are considerably spoiled for Clara [ ] coaxed them in to letting her take the[m] to Chicago. She scraped some paint of[f] and [books one into?]. She brought them home in a shawl strap and with out the frames. Kit [Grinn?] went home this morning and Laura Bloom goes in the morning. Max [Mayer?] is going to N. Y. in the morning also. Last night the Winter Wood Club met here and we had a ghost party, which was lots of fun. We dressed up in pillow cases and sheets and had a regular masquerade
