distance is the slow beat of a great drum that matches the pulse of my heart. I dream of you in a symphony of carmine, gold, emerald and azure snowflakes against the drop of the near-far black velvet sky drape. The sound of the fairy flautist and the Little Ones who tap the silver chalice of the lily of the valley and gently throbbing drum lull me into rest. I touch your hand and sleep.
