Saving...
[December 1943, postmarked Dec. 4]Thursday night. Dearest: Your poem "A Solvent Partnership" arrived today. It's beautiful. I wish I could put my feelings into words so well. I don't doubt but that we did meet on some far shore for in that sleeping-wakening state my soul reaches out for you. I was very sorry to hear about Dorothy's baby. It's a tragedy that still happens though with decreasing frequency in modern medicine. So your blood is type A. So is mine. Just one more item in common between us. Why did Cole resign?
