Willametta Turnepseed 202 Roseland East Springfield, Ohio -3 Tuesday - 8/15/44 Now I suspect that I know why you can't write- this invasion of Southern France. The news is so encouraging and while I realize the result is in balance I think things look better than they did in Normandy. How heavenly if the Germans were crushed in a smashing offensive now. Still awfully hot. No mail today except an unimportant letter from Cornwall; but I forgot to tell you about the letter yesterday from Spink indicating the Labor Day meet is still on. More when I hear. Going to work on LNs. Love Willametta
