11 the town, Crossed the Ohio river on the ferry boat, and quartered in the Fifth street Market House Cincinnati. Here we remained ten days waiting for our pay. Then took the cars for Harrisburg, Pa., via Columbus, Ohio, and Pittsburgh, Pa. At Pittsburgh the Pennsylvania R.R. furnished the officers one of their best cars, which was a great surprise. The men also had ordinary passenger coaches - This was the first experience of this kind since our enlistement - cattle and horse cars were previously furnished.
