14 Our regimental flag was carried in line and drew the applause of the people along the route of parade, and next morning's paper noticed it in the following words: "Conspicuous in line was the battle torn flag of the Fiftieth Regiment." After the parade addresses were made by Gen. Siegel, Col. Christ, Col. Selfridge, Chaplain Meredith, Pastor of the St. Peter's M.E. Church, and Captain Beardsley of Genl Siegel's staff.
