15 an elegant dinner at the Public expense. The 50th boys were fed at Bickel's Hotel, south East Corner of 5th and Washington streets. A number of us spent the evening at the home of Henry and Joseph Kendall, on North 5th street, both being members of Company H. Sunday, March 6th, 1864 Came to Reading, Pa., last night, on my way to Harrisburg. Remained here all day, and this evening entered into an agreement with Miss Rosa C. Lowe: that when this "Cruel War" is over, we will form a "Partnership" for "Life".
