24 Annapolis, Md. Friday, April 22nd 1864 Orders were read this evening, at Dress Parade, to be ready to move tomorrow morning at seven oclock: the men to carry five days rations. No indication as to our destination is given. Saturday 23d The line of march was formed, this morning about nine oclock, and continued until near nine in the evening - having marched about twelve miles. Sunday 24th The regiment was in line again this morning about six oclock and the march was kept up until about seven oclock in the evening, covering about twenty miles - The Regimental teams did not come up until ten oclock, and then only one.
