One of the most pathetic incidents occured at the Hospital, to which I went after the battle, to look after and do what I could to make the wounded of our regiment comfortable by putting up shelter tents &c to protect them from the sun, which was intensely hot. Here I found Theodore Warner of Co. D. very badly wounded, and at his request looked up his Uncle, Surgeon of the 20th Michigan, After the Doctor had examined
