75 Front of Petersburg, Va Thursday, July 7th 1864 One days ration of fresh bread was issued today and two of Hard bread. Quartermaster Eckel issued clothing this evening. Friday, 8th Drew and issued Sanitary provisions: Potatoes, Onions and Cabbage. An order was received directing all men serving on detail in the Quartermaster's department to immediately report to their Companies. Another heavy Artillery duel, which made our position in line very uncomfortable. Edward Heebner, Company C, was wounded.
