106 Front of Petersburg, Va.(Near White House) Tuesday, August 30th 1864. Helped Lieut. Getchter again on Company H's pay & muster Rolls. Michael McCuen and Nathan Saylor had a fight, Nathan using Michael up pretty badly - Michael was drunk. Lucien Heller of Co. B was wounded; by sharpshoot Wednesday 31st The regiment was Mustered, Col Overton acting as Mustering officer. I finished Company H's Rolls at three oclock. It is reported that the Rebels are masking their troops in our immediate front. - Weather pleasant. Thursday, Sept. 1. A regimental Suttler was appointed today by the officers of the regiment. David Snyder of Co. E was wounded by a sharpshooter.
