112 Front of Petersburg, Va - (Left flank) Wednesday Sept 14th 1864 Eckel moved his quarters to the Regiment. Helped the Adjustant make out reports. Received and issued Santitary rations. Thursday 15th Received the addressed envelopes and paper ordered from Jenks, Washington, D.C. on the 3d. Was ordered to appear before the Court Martial, held at Brigade Head quarters and gave evidence against Samuel Townsend, of Company "I" for absence without leave, at Spottsylvania, May 12th Helped the Adjutant again, to make out his reports
