123 Near Peeble's House, Va. Friday Oct. 7th 1864 Loaned Henry S. Francis .... $ 5.00 and Patrick Sullivan ... $ 5.00 to be paid back on pay-day. Made arrangements for the Chester County boys, of our regiment and Durell's Battery to vote on election day. Saturday 8th Part of the regiment were sent out this morning at 7 oclock, in light marching orders - said to be a raid on the South side Railroad. I did not go with the detail - Weather very cold and disagreeable. The Officers baggage was brought up this morning. Received the Lebanon Courier from brother Henry.
