142 Near Peeble's House, Va., Tuesday, Nov 15th 1864 Framed my house. The Sutler wanted to charge me more for Postage stamps than their face value. Sent home by mail the photographs of Generals- Burnsides, Wilcox, Sheriden and Sherman. Wrote a letter to Uncle John Longacre and sent him a photograph of my self. Wednesday 16th Wrote letter to Cousin Susan Crater, Ohio. Thursday 17th Moved into my new house - it is not quite finished. Friday 18th Finished my house. Just about the time the house was completed orders came to be ready to move. I have
