156 Fort McGilvery, Va. Thursday, 15th 1864 (Dec) Capt. Burkhart of Company C. returned to the regiment. Made out Ordanance returns for Capt. Brumm, of Company "F". Bought two pairs Stockings of Eckel and a Coat of Lieutenant Alspach of Co."A." who was mustered out and went home today. Paid him $8 00 for the Coat. Did up my Commission prepatory to sending it home. Friday 16th Received notice that Major Eaton had paid Jacob Ebler and Nathan Caseman, each $32 00, wages to October 31st. On duty as Officer of the Guard today. Lieut. Chas Brown, Co "C." received a medal of honor for meritorious action at Weldon R.R. Augt. 19th.
