191 Fort McGilvery, Va. Sunday, February 26th 1865 John Martz, of Company C, was wounded. Monday 27th On duty last night and today in command of the Picket line from the Appomatox river to battery #9 - The mud on the picket line is almost shoe deep. Major Saml. K. Schwenk came to the regiment this evening and reported for duty. Recd notice that Frank Lambert, of Co. F. drew clothing to the amount of $11 27 at the McClellan Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa., where he is under treatment for a wounded scalp, and not fit for duty.
