217 Camp near Georgetown, D.C. Monday July 10.1865 Received Muster rolls which are to be made out preparatory to mustering out the regiment. Saturday 15th Received orders to be ready to move tomorrow morning at four oclock. Sunday 16 Moved this morning at six oclock and encamped on the commons east of the Capital building. Rained hard after getting into camp. Monday 17 Regiment sent to Depot (Railroad station) to assist in quelling a riot among the soldiers. Wednesday 19 Regiment was sent to the Railroad station to do guard duty.
