May, Monday, 30, 1864. arose @ day break ate our breakfast & moved up in the front line of rifle pits lay in the front line all day volunteered to go on the skirmish line in Wheelocks place I got a pass & went back to the rear to sleep TUESDAY, 31. After a good nights rest I arose took breakfast & was relieved from the front line by the 33rd Regt. went back in the woods to change shirts had a good nights rest was routed out once June, WEDNESDAY, 1. was detailed in the fore-noon to chop was relieved about noon by the 15th Corps moved to the left in the afternoon & was on picket @ night
