June, WEDNESDAY, 29, 1864. arose in the morning & had some vegetable soup for breakfast lay in the pits all day without getting a man hurt wrote to Albert for a hat also to [Condon? Rugg?] stood guard in the night 1 hour THURSDAY, 30. had very warm weather were mustered for 2 mos. pay had a very sharp shower of rain in the afternoon moved out in the night &, moved to the right (Vertically, at left:-) recd. a letter from Albert July, FRIDAY 1. moved up in the front line of rifle pits stayed there until afternoon & were relieved Col. Loughman was wounded pitched tents but moved again to the right
