H’d Qr’s Post at Pulaski April 24' 1864 My dear darling wife:- Your blessed letters of the 14th & 17th inst came to hand; the former yesterday and the latter to day. Almost every Sabbath I receive the letter written the Sabbath before, My heart is made glad to know that you are gaining strength, but Clara, I would be so glad if you would write more about yourself and tell me your real condition. If you knew my anxiety of mind, I think you would surely grant me this favor. My health is excellent, never better. I want you to calm down your mind and concent to let the time pass off slowly until my arrival. One thing I most emphatically veto, and that is your doing any kind of sewing this spring. And I shall be highly displeased if you do not regard this request. Do not write to me after the 16th Proximo, as your letters written after that time, would not have time to reach me before I leave for home, I shall not
