Saving...
I did hope that I could come over and have a "New Years talk" with you, but the weather has been so bad that I am afraid that I shall be disappointed By the way there was a very goodlooking young lady came over to our hous to get me to "shingle" her hair, and I with my profound logic reasoned the case with her, until she concluded to only have it cut off square around- which duty I performed with "neatness and dispach", receiving a very Kind "thank you sir" for my servisses. There has been a very pretty young lady from Ohio, came into our neighborhood lately, who is quite rich and puts on some "style", who I am creditably, informed, has expressed herself as being very desireous of becoming acquainted with Mr. Clark who, she says, she heard of in Ohio.
