have my winters work finished I shall do that afterwards. Our grain is all to market yet. In regard to that nice party at Mr Browns I went and had a galorious time.- got home about three o'clock the next morning, tired and sleepy. I had an invitation to another on last evening but I very respectfully declined going. I "sent a hand" my hired man went and has not returned yet. I am afraid that he has gone home with some bodys girl, and taken up his board with them. I presume he thinks the corn is all in and that he will now take his "holidays". But I am under the impression that he must have had his furlough extended a day or so without my Knowledge, If he does not "report for duty" in
