We are having such beautiful weather for the past few weeks - The roads are dry and dusty. In Dec the weather was more like January Have had but little snow consequently but little sleighing - I have not told you about our little Mamie. Tis useless to tell you we think her an uncomon child - For did you ever know parents that didn't think their babies smarter than other folks' - She's one of the greatest talkers out of Jail She's just fixed when her uncle Sam comes, he tells her little stories and sigs (In his way) which she thinks awful nice. He and his dog Dash stayed all night with us last night- on their way to Lowel after sheep. that is about ten miles below us. Well Tillie what you think of the war by this time
