Deer Park Feb 3 1865 Friend Tillie I received your note by las mail and was not much surprised at its contense I have bin expecting it for a long time I am much obliged for your kind invitation to be present and to witness this solemn event the closeing of the first Volum of your Lifes history and if I am atall, able I will certainly come. However I am not at all certain I will be there as I have bin confined to my Room for the last to months I am geting Better but verry slowly. I have bin having Diptheria & Remitten Fever & betwen the two have got quite reduced if not there you may consider my blesing as allready bestowed Congratulations I will [retain?] till the Cares of life begin to [hicken?] around you, in your next to Sam give him my kindes regards Yours &C.
