May 7th Afternoon 4 Oclock, Dear Sister "Tillie", Mother Bell & Jessie are up stairs in bed I expect, Bell Grim is sitting in lounge reading old Pappers, while your Humble Servant is sitting by the Table trying to write to you They were all over to hear Bror Hudson Preach, had a good Congregation and I expect a good sermon excuse me a minute will you must take a walk out in the Grove, to see if I cant find some eggs or something. Back all right dident find nary egg, forgot to look for em. Wish you had some of our old Hens and a Rooster Yes and we have about 30 little chickens, Jessie claims one Stevie came over last night Maria's Aunt (Dr Micheners) Mother) and son are there came last Thursday & will stay till next Friday. Spect Maria will think that they will eat all her Hams up. Fannie has a real nice colt. Mother is going over there one day this week. She was in a wonderful way last week we dident get your letter till Saturday, she would say every what can be the reason we dont get a letter from Matilda she surely must be sick, &c &c you know how she always worries
