Thursday, April 3rd Dear Dorothea, John R, Clifford J & Carol Ann (and Rufus Rastus Johnson Brown); We had a very, very hard rain last night. The water just poured down in sheets. And it rained so hard it isn't muddy for the water all ran off. The ground is a red clay that will shed water when it comes too fast and so the ground was dry this morning. We have a fire bucket hung on a board nailed on each tent and it rained so hard it filled up the bucket for what had evaporated & then ran the buckets over. So you can see it really rained. Enclosed find the Sunshine Mining Check, which take to Lowell Fuller and have him apply it on my account. Have him give you a receipt for it and send the receipt to me. I have some doubts as to the advisability of furnishing the
