H & S, 136th Med Regt Camp Claiborne, La Monday, Oct. 6, 1941 My dearest Dorothea: No letter from you today but suppose you were tired out from your Sunday trip. I certainly would have enjoyed being with you so much and you could have slept while I drone home for you. We were very, very busy last Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Then Sunday the business slumped very much and not much left for today. Since we got the furloughs out and caught up on our "suspended" correspondance, it looks like it may not take much to keep up to date. I went to town this morning to deposit some money to cover the check I gave to Griffin. He had the Captain to pay me and I gave him a check which
